Pickle Putty was created by a group of longtime friends and lifelong racquet sport players. Having spent years competing in tennis, they knew the rhythm of a great match—and they knew when something disrupted it.
When they took up pickleball, they noticed an issue right away: picking up the ball broke the flow. In tennis, it’s effortless—a quick trap between the foot and racquet. But in pickleball? It meant bending down after nearly every point. Small, yes—but annoying, constant, and totally fixable.
That shared observation kicked off a collective mission to find a better way.
What started with mechanical concepts quickly became a full-blown product development journey. The team explored dozens of ideas—from engineered add-ons to paddle modifications—but many added weight or interfered with play.
Eventually, attention turned to adhesives. After testing countless tapes, foams, and resins, inspiration struck during an everyday moment involving removable wall putty. That spark led to hundreds more rounds of testing with manufacturers, iterating until the formula was just right: paddle-safe, durable, virtually weightless, and surprisingly effective.
That was the moment Pickle Putty became real.
